Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Finish Dozer Operator to join our Specialty Services team. This role operates power-driven machinery to move dirt and shave/grade surfaces to match blueprints and grade stakes.

It is a non-exempt position reporting to the Foreman or Site Manager, with duties assigned per procedures and frequent checks on work quality. Essential qualifications include high school or equivalent, finish dozer operator and heavy equipment experience, plus post-offer drug/alcohol

Qualifications

• Finish dozer operator experience required.
• Heavy equipment operation experience required (bulldozer, dump truck, and loader).
• Pre-employment qualification test.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Moves hand and foot levers to control diesel, electric, gasoline or steam-powered operating equipment; interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed; reads and interprets load charts; may assemble or disassemble equipment on construction projects; may operate on un-level surfaces; may perform maintenance such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines.
