Ace Handyman Services in Melrose, Massachusetts is seeking a Master Craftsman for a full-time, on-site role. You will perform finish carpentry and handyman tasks for residential and light commercial projects, delivering precise results while avoiding administrative hassles.

You will work with a professional office team and owner who schedule, dispatch, and bill clients, offering year-round hours and a supportive environment in the Melrose area and surrounding towns.

Qualifications

• AT LEAST 5 TO 7 YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE IN FINISH CARPENTRY, HOME REMODELING, OR RESIDENTIAL MAINTENANCE.
• OWN A SET OF STANDARD HAND AND POWER TOOLS SUITABLE FOR PROFESSIONAL FINISH CARPENTRY.
• RELIABLE TRUCK OR VAN CAPABLE OF TRANSPORTING TOOLS, LADDERS, AND MATERIALS.
• VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE AND ACTIVE AUTO INSURANCE.
• OUTGOING PERSONALITY WITH CLEAR COMMUNICATION TO HOMEOWNERS.
• PHYSICAL STAMINA TO LIFT UP TO 75 POUNDS, CLIMB LADDERS, AND WORK IN RESIDENTIAL SETTINGS.
• ABILITY TO PASS A STANDARD BACKGROUND CHECK.

Responsibilities

• INSTALL INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR TRIM, CROWN MOLDING, BASEBOARDS, WAINSCOTING, AND CASING.
• HANG INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR DOORS, INSTALL WINDOWS, AND ADJUST HARDWARE.
• BUILD AND INSTALL SHELVING, BUILT-INS, CABINETS, AND COUNTERTOPS.
• PERFORM HIGH-QUALITY WOOD PATCHING, DRYWALL REPAIRS, AND FINISH TOUCH-UPS.
• ASSESS ON-SITE CHALLENGES AND PROPOSE PRACTICAL, PROFESSIONAL SOLUTIONS.
• USE A SMARTPHONE APP TO VIEW SCHEDULE, LOG PROGRESS, TRACK MATERIALS, AND CAPTURE PHOTOS.
