Persona AI in Houston, TX is seeking a Micro Precision Assembler to build the hands for our humanoid robots. This full-time, onsite role focuses on fine-motor bench assembly in a heavy fabrication environment with tight tolerances and ESD discipline.

You will work with miniature components, torque tiny fasteners, apply lubricants, and verify parts against strict acceptance criteria. Overtime and some weekend work are paid at 1.5x.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated fine-motor precision work with hands.
• Steady hands, patience, and ability to focus on detail.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly work instructions.
• Comfort with precision measuring tools; training provided.
• Willingness to follow documented processes exactly.
• Overtime availability, some weekend work, paid at 1.5x.

Responsibilities

• Assemble finger, thumb, and wrist mechanisms from drawings — miniature bearings, pins, linkages, rings, springs.
• Route and pre-tension drive tendons and cables to spec.
• Assemble miniature gearheads and small actuator units, keep matched sets together.
• Torque tiny fasteners (approx. M1.6–M3) with low-range drivers in newton-centimeters.
• Apply adhesives, thread lockers, and lubricants; install seals and covers.
• Verify hands against acceptance criteria using gauges, micrometers, dial indicators.
• Mate pre-terminated sensor connectors and dress cables under ESD control.
• Record build data in shop floor records.
• Flag parts or steps that don’t work and suggest fixes.
