Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin’s College of Fine Arts is seeking a Career Services Coordinator to support student success by providing individualized career coaching and coordinating development programs across campus.

You will advise fine arts students, design workshops, manage events, and track outcomes using Qualtrics and 12Twenty, collaborating with faculty and community partners to build a robust career services ecosystem on campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in career services, higher education, student affairs, recruiting, advising, event planning, communications, program / project coordination, or a related field.
• Experience planning and coordinating events, workshops, or programs.
• Demonstrated experience working with students in a higher education environment.
• Intermediate to advanced working experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Career Coaching: Advise fine arts students, including undergraduates, graduates and alumni on career goals, plans, internships, resumes, cover letters, mock interviews, and campus resources.
• Programming and Content: Design and implement professional development opportunities, workshops, events, and programs; promote offerings with relevant content.
• Fostering Career Ecosystem: Build relationships with internal and community stakeholders and collaborate across campus.
• Logistical and Communication Support: Manage event logistics, scheduling, room reservations, catering, speaker coordination, and on-campus communications.
• Data Tracking: Collect and interpret data on student outcomes and attendance using Qualtrics and 12Twenty; assist with First Destinations survey.
• Student Funding Committees: Serve on award committees reviewing Internship Scholarship and Travel funds.
• Student Employee Supervision: Assist in training and supervising student staff.
• Other Duties as Assigned
