Job summary

The IMF is seeking a Financial Sector Expert/Senior Financial Sector Expert to join the FS Division at IMF headquarters in Washington, D.C. The role focuses on advancing analysis of insurer-bank interactions and the financial stability implications of insurance protection gaps and natural disasters.

Qualifications

Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in economics, finance, or related field.
At least four years of relevant professional work experience.
Strong background in financial stability assessment, especially related to insurance protection gaps and natural disasters.
Experience with coding and econometric, statistical, or quantitative simulation tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead analysis of interactions between insurers and banks and strengthen financial stability analytics.
Lead FSAP-related missions, technical assistance, capacity development, and training design/delivery for member countries.
Undertake policy-oriented research and collaborate with internal teams, external researchers, and country authorities.
