Job summary

Lone Star Credit Union is seeking a Financial Service Officer (FSO) in Texas to establish trust with Members, guide them through the journey, and promote products and services.

You will support branch technology usage and facilitate deposits, loans, and self-service interactions for a smooth Member experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months' experience in a consultative sales position in a financial institution.
• Fluent in Spanish.
• Ability to identify financial needs through effective communication (listen, ask questions).
• Ability to educate Members about and make referrals to LSCU products & services.

Responsibilities

• Opening new accounts and performing account maintenance.
• Responding to inquiries and processing Member requests.
• Processing drive-thru transactions utilizing video equipment and tube system.
• Owning Member issues through resolution.
• Identifying Member needs and recommending product and service solutions to enhance financial well-being.

A Financial Service Officer (FSO) will develop relationships, build trust, and maintain integrity with every contact, including Members, potential Members, and co-workers. The FSO will walk Members and potential members through our Member journey and assist with utilization of our branch technology including NEXT, our self-service technology for deposits, withdrawals, and payments, discovery bar tablets to view our website, open an account, or apply for a loan, and an interactive kiosk for learning about LSCU.

Responsibilities:

• Opening new accounts and performing account maintenance
• Responding to inquiries and processing Member requests
• Processing drive-thru transactions utilizing video equipment and tube system
• Owning Member issues through resolution
• Identifying Member needs and recommending product and service solutions to enhance financial well-being

Requirements

• Minimum of six months previous experience in a consultative sales position preferably from a financial institution. New account and general member service experience helpful.
• Passion for building relationships and providing exceptional service
• Ability to identify financial needs through effective communication (ability to listen, ask questions, and articulate response)
• Ability to educate Members about and make referrals to LSCU products & services
• Strong initiative and solution provider
• Ability to multi-task
• Proficient in utilizing PC, software, Microsoft Applications, and other office equipment
• Fluent in Spanish is required
