Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC seeks a Financial Specialist to analyze profitability and performance by studying financial data and translating insights into action. You will work with cross-functional teams to improve processes and drive profitability.

You will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, Capex/Opex management, and pricing discussions while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards across the finance function.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Financial Planning & Analysis or relevant experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills.
• Time, Quantity, Quality trade-off management.
• Communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge in automotive/battery manufacturing preferred.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Corporate finance background is advantageous.
• Bilingual in English and Korean is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with budget preparation, financial planning and forecasting update.
• Develop yearly budget, pro forma statements and coordinate with cross functional teams.
• Manage Monthly Rolling Forecast and communicate with each function.
• Perform cost variance analyses (forecast vs. actual).
• Capex/opex management and reporting.
• Support target battery cell price development and stakeholder discussions.
• Advise on PR/PO processes and GL/cost center approvals.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses to inform leadership decisions.
• Handle confidential information professionally.

Job Description

Ultium Cells seeks a Financial Specialist who is responsible for collecting and studying the financial and operational data to analyze profitability of the business, extracting and defining relevant information. The candidate will dig into complex datasets to analyze trends and translate them into actionable insights for continuous process/profitability improvements. This role also will be able to communicate with cross-functional teams and individuals within the company.

Job Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To

• Assist with the budget preparation, financial planning and forecasting update
• Develop the yearly budget, pro forma financial statements and communicate action plan with the cross functional teams
• Manage the Monthly Rolling Forecast; communicate with each function and develop tactics to attain the budget.
• Perform cost variance analyses in key indicators (forecast vs. actual)
• Capital expenditure (Capex) / Operating expense management
• Target battery cell price development; establish target cell price and facilitate the concurrence discussion among the stakeholders
• Assist functional teams with budget questions and provide guideline on PR/PO process (GL, cost center, approval line)
• Perform ad hoc analyses to provide financial recommendations to the leadership
• Handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
