Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC in Spring Hill, Tennessee, seeks a Financial Specialist to analyze profitability from complex datasets, support financial planning and forecasting, and communicate insights to cross-functional teams. You will develop budgets and pro forma statements, handle rolling forecasts, perform variance analyses, manage Capex/OpEx, and translate data into actionable recommendations for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the budget preparation, financial planning and forecasting update.
• Develop the yearly budget, pro forma financial statements and communicate action plan with the cross functional teams.
• Manage the Monthly Rolling Forecast; communicate with each function and develop tactics to attain the budget.
• Perform cost variance analyses in key indicators (forecast vs. actual).
• Capital expenditure (Capex) / Operating expense management.
• Target battery cell price development; establish target cell price and facilitate the concurrence discussion among the stakeholders.
• Assist functional teams with budget questions and provide guideline on PR/PO process (GL, cost center, approval line).
• Perform ad hoc analyses to provide financial recommendations to the leadership.
• Handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.

Job Description

Ultium Cells seeks a Financial Specialist who is responsible for collecting and studying the financial and operational data to analyze profitability of the business, extracting and defining relevant information. The candidate will dig into complex datasets to analyze trends and translate them into actionable insights for continuous process/profitability improvements. This role also will be able to communicate with cross-functional teams and individuals within the company.

Preferred

• Knowledge in the automotive or/and battery industry and manufacturing
• SAP experience
• Corporate finance
• Bilingual in English and Korean
