Job summary

Northwestern Mutual offers a College Financial Representative internship to help you build an integrated financial planning practice while studying. You’ll interact with local and nationwide experts and gain access to exclusive products within a Fortune 500 company.

As an intern, you can develop client networks, learn a business strategy, and participate in weekly coaching. Opportunities exist to interview for a full-time Financial Representative or Advisor role after graduation.

Qualifications

• Full-time student; juniors and seniors preferred.

• Interest in financial literacy and planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to prospect and network to build your business and client base.
• Develop and execute on a business strategy.
• Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand their financial goals.
• Prepare plans and offer useful recommendations.
• Gain exposure to proprietary planning software platforms.
• Engage in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
• Receive Risk Product State Licensing: Life, Accident, and Health.
• Build life skills that create future career opportunities.
