Job summary

New England Capital Financial Advisors is seeking a motivated Financial Planning Associate/Paraplanner to join our team. You will support our advisors, participate in client meetings, develop financial plans, and help deliver exceptional client experiences.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in a related field and prior wealth management or client service experience. You will gain hands-on experience, earn CFP/FPQP support, and have clear growth paths within the firm.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or related field.
  • Wealth management/finance client service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and organize client financial information and prepare analyses.
  • Develop financial plans and client recommendations with advisors.
  • Prepare presentations and planning materials for client meetings.
  • Maintain Investment Policy Statements and planning documents.
  • Coordinate implementation of planning recommendations.

We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Planning Associate/Paraplanner to join our team. This role offers hands‑on experience working directly with Financial Advisors, participating in client meetings, developing financial plans, and helping deliver exceptional client experiences.

Whether you're beginning your career in financial planning or looking to deepen your experience in wealth management, this position provides a clear path for professional growth, industry certifications, and advancement within the firm.

This is not a sales position and does not require cold calling.

What You'll Do

As a Financial Planning Associate, you'll play an important role in supporting our advisors and clients throughout the financial planning process.

Financial Planning & Client Support
  • Gather and organize client financial information
  • Prepare financial planning analyses, retirement projections, and scenario modeling
  • Assist in developing financial plans and client recommendations
  • Create presentations and planning materials for client meetings
  • Maintain Investment Policy Statements and planning documents
Meeting Preparation & Follow‑Up
  • Prepare agendas and pre‑meeting materials
  • Participate in client meetings alongside advisors
  • Document meeting notes and follow‑up action items
  • Coordinate implementation of planning recommendations
  • Work with attorneys, accountants, and other outside professionals when needed
Client Service
  • Respond to client requests and service needs
  • Assist with account maintenance and operational processing
  • Help support client events, workshops, and educational seminars
  • Work collaboratively with advisors and client service team members
Qualifications
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field
OR
  • Previous experience in wealth management, financial planning, banking, insurance, investments, or client service
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
