This hybrid role (3 days onsite) presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Senior FP&A professional from the legal industry who is ready to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of law firm financial operations, and a passion for driving strategic insights through data.

A growing professional services organization is seeking a strategic and analytical leader to oversee pricing operations and data analytics initiatives. This role will be instrumental in developing and maintaining budgeting tools, enhancing pricing strategies, and leading data transformation efforts across financial systems. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial planning and analysis, particularly within a professional services or legal environment, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and maintenance of matter budgeting tools, collaborating with internal teams to create detailed budgets and automated alerts.
• Support pricing strategy by analyzing market trends, assisting with rate proposals, and ensuring competitive positioning.
• Manage the annual rate-setting process, including data collection, analysis, and presentation of recommendations to senior leadership.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to respond to pricing and data-related inquiries, delivering clear and actionable insights.
• Oversee data quality and consistency across financial systems, driving initiatives to standardize and enhance reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with systems and analytics teams to transition reporting from legacy platforms to modern BI tools, including dashboard development and data visualization.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting outputs, including dashboards, forecasts, and ad-hoc analyses.
• Act as a strategic partner to leadership, providing insights that inform operational and financial decision-making.
• Support cross-functional projects and assist with data validation, survey submissions, and internal reporting enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications a plus.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel; experience with financial systems such as Elite 3E, Aderant, or similar platforms preferred.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, etc.) and data integration languages (VBA, XML) is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in a professional services or legal environment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large datasets, perform complex analyses, and present findings in a clear, professional manner.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• High attention to detail, with a commitment to data accuracy and process improvement.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
