Job summary

Epson America Inc. is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, and pricing analyses. The role focuses on consolidating plans and providing insights for executives, with a hybrid schedule based in Los Alamitos, CA.

The position requires 2–5 years in FP&A or related fields, strong Excel skills, and experience with data analysis. Bilingual Spanish/Portuguese is a plus, and SAP BPC/SAC Planning and Power BI experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, lookups, filters, and macros.
• Experience with large data sets and data analysis.
• Experience with AI and automation tools or solutions.
• Knowledge of SAP BPC and/or SAC Planning preferred.
• Experience with Power BI preferred.
• Bilingual: Spanish and/or Portuguese language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supports FP&A activities to ensure accurate and timely financial information for executives and Seiko Epson Corporation.
• Prepares monthly financial results, including plan/forecast comparisons and ad hoc analyses for executive presentations.
• Provides pricing support for refurbished product and E-store, including inventory analysis and pricing proposals.
• Performs pricing analysis and maintains pricing databases.
• Analyzes financial results to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Loads forecast, plan, and actual results into financial systems for consolidated reporting.
• Prepares monthly variance analyses comparing actuals, prior year, and forecast.
• Participates in developing and maintaining FP&A systems and processes.

The Financial Planning Analyst supports financial planning and analysis activities, including the coordination and consolidation of Business Plans, Quarterly Forecasts, and Weekly Forecasts, as well as price analysis. This role prepares ad hoc financial reports and supporting materials for executive presentations, providing meaningful financial information and insights to support business decisions. The analyst also collaborates on the development and maintenance of financial systems and processes that support the department and broader organization.

This position will be based out of Epson America’s headquarters in Los Alamitos, CA with an opportunity for a hybrid schedule.

What you will be doing:

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Supports FP&A activities to ensure accurate and timely financial information is prepared and communicated to executives and Seiko Epson Corporation.
• Prepares monthly financial results, including comparisons to plan and forecast, ad hoc analyses, and supporting materials for executive presentations.
• Provides financial support for refurbished product and E-store (ecommerce) pricing, including inventory analysis, price and availability communications, pricing proposals, and analysis of slow-moving refurbished inventory.
• Performs pricing analysis and maintains current pricing databases.
• Analyzes financial results and processes to identify trends, opportunities, and recommendations for improvement.
• Loads forecast, plan, and actual results into financial systems to support consolidated EAI reporting.
• Prepares monthly variance analyses requested by Seiko Epson Corporation, including comparisons to actuals, prior year, and forecast.
• Participates in the development and maintenance of financial systems and processes that support FP&A and broader company needs.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent relevant experience
• 2–5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, finance, or a related role
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions, filters, data analysis tools, and macros
• Experience working with and analyzing large data sets
• Experience with AI and automation tools or solutions
• Knowledge of VBA preferred
• Experience with SAP BPC and/or SAC Planning preferred
• Experience with Power BI preferred
• Bilingual: Spanish and/or Portuguese language proficiency

The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $85,322 and $106,652. Please note that this position’s salary range may include multiple levels. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
