Job summary

Baird in Pittsburgh is seeking a Financial Planner in a structured program designed to build competence and a path to joining an existing advisory team within three years. You will support Advisors and Client Specialists by developing financial plans and analyses for prospects and existing clients.

Based in our Pittsburgh offices with one day of remote work per week, you will complete CFP prerequisites, study for the SIE, Series 7 and Series 66, and grow toward becoming a full-time Financial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong computational, mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to complete CFP prerequisites and sit for CFP exam within the first two years of hire.
• Ability to study for and obtain the SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 within 18 months after CFP exam.

Responsibilities

• Support Financial Advisors and Client Specialists in creating financial plans and analyses for prospects or existing clients.
• Provide research for client questions and ongoing education and support to Advisors and Client Specialists.
• Interact with Financial Advisors to provide ongoing research and assistance for existing clientele.

The Financial Planner role will provide work experience and educational opportunities to build competencies as well as allow time to network and target a role as a full time Financial Advisor on an existing team within 3 years.

Support Financial Advisors and Client Specialists in the creation of financial plans and analyses for initial prospects or existing clients. Provide research for client questions and ongoing education and support to Advisors and Client Specialists.

Position will be based from one of our Pittsburgh offices with one day per week work from home flexibility.

The Impact You'll Make:

• Interact with Financial Advisors to provide ongoing research and assistance for existing clientele
• Create and develop Baird Wealth Plan drafts and various financial analyses
• Provide education to Financial Advisors in a group setting and to individuals as needed
• Perform special projects and assignments as required
• Complete CFP prerequisites and sit for comprehensive CFP exam. Upon passing the CFP, it is expected to study for and pass the SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 licensing exams

What You'll Bring to Baird:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, or degree in unrelated field and relevant work experience
• Strong computational, mathematical and analytical skills
• Ability to complete the CFP prerequisites and sit for comprehensive CFP exam within the first two years of hire
• Ability to study for and obtain the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam, Series 7 and Series 66 or be willing to study and obtain immediately following the CFP exam and complete the three exams with 18 months of beginning. The SIE Training and resources to be provided and paid for by Baird
