Job Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while directly executing tasks without supervising a team. This position focuses on the technical aspects of finance, requiring strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive listing of Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts Dean's Office accounts and reconciliations.
• Oversee communications, at the direction of the Assistant Director of Financial Operations, for financial updates and balances to Dean's Office staff, including the Dean, Associate and Assistant Deans, College Administrative Officer, College-level Directors, and other appropriate faculty and staff.
• Collaborate with IAC finance and grant personnel, as well as coordinate with institute finance, procurement, and related business units across campus.
• Support event, technology, and building management financial requests.
• Participate in Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts events and meetings as it relates to student, faculty, or staff occurrences.
• Serve as a backup to the Assistant Director of Financial Operations.

The person in this position will manage day-to-day finance and budgeting requests for the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts Deans Office, including inquiries and processing related to travel and expense, procurement, reconciliations, among other similar financial duties. This individual in this position will support the Assistant Director of Financial Operations with finance and budgeting for the six IAC Schools, ROTC units, and other IAC centers.
