To qualify for the position of Financial Litigation Technician, at GS-0303-8, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below.

GS-8: To be eligible at the GS-8 level, you must meet the specialized experience.

Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in federal service. Specialized experience is defined as serving as the subject matter expert in the processes and procedures related to complex asset identification and debt collection activities.

Examples of specialized experience include:

  • initiating contact with debtors concerning payment of their obligations, their ability to pay, and negotiating written payment schedules to assure successful collection of debts.
  • reviewing debtor financial asset information to prepare payment plans.
  • reconciling payment transactions with records and documents and identifying and resolving inconsistencies.
  • participating in decisions concerning post judgment remedies such as garnishments.
Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)

The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
