Job summary

Community Teamwork in Lowell, MA is seeking a Financial Literacy Coordinator to deliver financial coaching and run the Financial Literacy Academy, workshops, and VITA support. The role partners with CTI programs to promote budgeting, saving, and access to resources, with occasional off-site work at CTI shelters.

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, experience with low-income clients, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel and obtain IRS credentials.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching or supporting low income individuals.
• Ability to obtain IRS Tax Preparer certification.
• Strong budgeting and math skills.
• Knowledge of community resources for low-income households.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial coaching and case management; schedule sessions with clients.
• Assist with enrollment into internal and external resources and document outcomes.
• Manage Financial Literacy Academy; coordinate events and recruit instructors.
• Deliver outreach and workshops on banking, saving, budgeting, and money management.
• Travel to CTI shelters and local sites as needed; support VITA program with volunteers.
