AAA Central Penn seeks a Business Analyst in Harrisburg, PA to transform data into actionable insights that influence strategy, budgeting, and performance across the organization. You’ll partner with Finance leaders, build models, and deliver clear, story-driven analyses to drive decision-making.

The role emphasizes collaboration, strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings to non-financial stakeholders in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or business analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data intuition.
• Ability to explain complex analysis in clear terms for non-financial audiences.
• Advanced Excel and strong MS 365 knowledge required.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organization in a hybrid environment.
• Power BI experience is a plus and helpful for storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teams across the organization to translate questions into metrics, analysis, and insights.
• Collect, validate, and analyze financial and operational data to reveal trends and risks.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting with clear variance explanations.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting through financial modeling and scenario planning.
• Compare actual results to budgets and recommend data-backed actions.
• Build and maintain Excel-based models, dashboards, KPI scorecards, and templates.
• Create presentations and executive summaries that tell a compelling data story.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses including ROI/payback and special initiatives.
