SolomonEdwards is seeking a Director of Finance, PEP, to serve as the senior finance leader for the business unit. You will own accounting integrity, financial reporting and forward-looking planning to drive profitable growth, partnering with Controllership, Treasury, Tax and Internal Audit.

You will lead FP&A, forecasting, performance management and capital allocation, while developing finance talent and ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA or other advanced business credentials preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive finance or accounting experience.
  • Significant leadership experience overseeing accounting, FP&A, forecasting and business analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all BU accounting activities including month-end close, reporting, revenue/cost accounting, balance sheet integrity, and internal controls.
  • Maintain a strong control environment and identify financial, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Partner with Controllership, Treasury, Tax, Internal Audit, and shared services for consistent finance processes.
  • Ensure systems and data provide reliable information for decision-making and compliance with policies.
  • Lead annual operating plan, strategic planning, rolling forecasts, and scenario analyses.
  • Establish metrics and reporting for revenue, margins, operating expenses, working capital, cash flow, and capital investments.
  • Analyze performance to identify opportunities, risks, and trends and develop profitability analyses by product line, customer, market, and channel.
  • Improve forecasting accuracy through disciplined planning, analytics, and financial modeling.
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate growth opportunities, develop financial business cases for pricing, investments, and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide financial leadership for acquisitions, divestitures, integrations, and due diligence activities.
  • Deliver insights balancing growth, profitability, cash generation and risk.
  • Lead cross-functional analyses and special projects to improve performance and decision quality.
  • Lead, coach and develop accounting and finance teams and foster an ethical, inclusive culture.
  • Guide senior leaders across functions with sound judgment and business partnership.

Job description

he Director – Finance, PEP serves as the senior finance leader for the business unit, with end-to-end responsibility for the integrity of accounting and financial reporting, as well as forward-looking financial planning that supports profitable growth. This role acts as a strategic business partner, translating financial and operational insights into forecasts, investment priorities, performance improvement initiatives, and growth strategies.

The Director leads accounting, financial planning and analysis, forecasting, business performance management, capital allocation, and transaction support while partnering with shared services including Controllership, Treasury, Tax, and Internal Audit. This leader develops finance talent, ensures compliance with company policies and controls, and delivers accurate, timely, and actionable financial information to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all business unit accounting activities, including month-end and year-end close processes, management reporting, revenue and cost accounting, balance sheet integrity, and internal controls.
  • Maintain a strong control environment and identify financial, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Partner with Corporate Controllership, Treasury, Tax, Internal Audit, and other shared services to ensure compliance and consistency across financial processes.
  • Ensure financial systems, reporting processes, and data integrity provide reliable information for business decision-making.
  • Drive resolution of accounting, reporting, and process issues while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Financial Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management
  • Lead the annual operating plan, strategic planning process, rolling forecasts, and scenario analyses.
  • Establish performance metrics and reporting routines related to revenue, margins, operating expenses, working capital, cash flow, and capital investments.
  • Analyze business performance and identify key opportunities, risks, and trends.
  • Develop profitability analyses by product line, customer, market, and channel to support pricing and resource allocation decisions.
  • Improve forecasting accuracy through disciplined planning processes, analytics, and financial modeling.
Strategic Business Partnership & Growth
  • Partner with business leadership to evaluate growth opportunities and convert strategic priorities into actionable financial plans.
  • Develop financial business cases for pricing initiatives, capital investments, productivity improvements, and growth opportunities.
  • Provide financial leadership for acquisitions, divestitures, integrations, and other strategic transactions, including valuation support and due diligence activities.
  • Deliver insights and recommendations that balance growth, profitability, cash generation, and risk management.
  • Lead special projects and cross-functional analyses that improve business performance and decision quality.
Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop accounting and finance managers and their teams.
  • Build and sustain a high-performing finance organization focused on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and talent development.
  • Establish clear expectations and performance standards while fostering an ethical and inclusive work environment.
  • Influence senior leaders across functions through effective communication, sound judgment, and business partnership.
  • Support the Company's commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and corporate citizenship.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications
