Job summary

Forrest T. Jones & Company, Inc. is seeking a Financial Software Engineer III to design, develop, and optimize databases and reporting solutions supporting financial and accounting operations.

You will partner with Finance, Accounting, Admin, and IT to create reliable data integrations, reconciliations, and high-performance data solutions. The role emphasizes auditable processes, data governance, and adherence to coding standards while delivering scalable data systems to enable informed business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years in financial and accounting reporting and data.
• SQL development in SQL Server 2014+ for 3–5 years.
• SSRS reports in SQL Server 2014+ for 2–3 years.
• SSIS development in SQL Server 2014+ for 2–3 years.
• Solid understanding of databases and data processing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, document system requirements for data, workflow, interfaces, auditing and reporting.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain database and reporting solutions.
• Develop and support data integration between internal and external systems.
• Adhere to coding standards and participate in peer reviews.
• Ensure data flow audit, validation, error handling, monitoring and reporting.
• Provide accurate effort estimates to Team Lead/PM and project teams.
• Deliver testing support and document test scripts.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Admin and IT teams.
