Job summary

Greycell Labs Inc. is seeking an on-site Financial Data Analyst / Engineer in New York to help modernize enterprise data processes for financial reporting. The role focuses on turning business requirements into robust data solutions and ensuring accuracy of financial data.

Responsibilities include designing data workflows, validating calculations, and leveraging Tableau and Snowflake within a data governance framework. A quantitative degree is required, with extensive SQL/RDBMS experience.

Qualifications

• 84 months of experience in data engineering, governance, or data quality for financial reporting.
• 84 months of experience in SQL and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), including querying complex datasets.
• 84 months of compiling, computing, and validating financial data using advanced statistical formulas and model calculations.
• 48 months of building and maintaining data workflows and data pipelines using database tools, translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• 36 months of automating data ingestion and reporting using Python, R, or Excel VBA.
• 36 months of data visualization using BI software, preferably Tableau.
• 24 months of experience in cloud-based data platforms, preferably Snowflake.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or related field).

Responsibilities

• Guide, design, and optimize data processes for the R&I Division, working with the VC and LPTC Bureaus.
• Support the migration of critical data processing workflows to Snowflake and Informatica.
• Expand business intelligence capabilities through Tableau across the organization.

Detailed Job Description: DFS is undertaking a significant modernization of its enterprise data environment, including the migration of critical data processing workflows to Snowflake and Informatica, and the expansion of business intelligence capabilities through Tableau. This role will guide, design, and optimize data processes for the R&I Division, mainly working with the VC and LPTC Bureaus, but also by supporting broader R&I Data Steward initiatives. The technical leadership provided by this position will strengthen the organization’s ability to leverage data as a strategic asset while ensuring scalability and long-term sustainability of its data infrastructure.
