Solü Technology Partners is seeking a Financial Crimes Solution Architect to design comprehensive AML/BSA/KYC/Fraud solutions. You will collaborate with other architects to align with architecture standards and drive business objectives, including travel to Buffalo, NY about every 4-6 weeks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience, or 9+ years combined education/work experience.
  • Demonstrated solution architecture experience in financial crimes (AML/BSA/KYC/Fraud).
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience with multiple programming languages and delivering software/engineering projects.

  • Actively participate in design, building, testing and deployment of technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with domain leaders and enterprise architects on business drivers and solution designs.
  • Articulate value tradeoffs of solution options with domain SMEs.
  • Contribute to enterprise architecture standards and ensure solution alignment.
  • Engage in Agile ceremonies and governance activities as needed.
  • Create and refine conceptual, logical, and physical solution architectures for strategic initiatives.
  • Research emerging technologies and trends impacting the domain.
  • Assist in managing architecture for dependent products with other architects.

Job Description

Solu is seeking a Financial Crimes Solution Architect (AML, BSA, KYC, Fraud) to join our team. The Financial Crimes Solution Architect will support an assigned portfolio by architecting and designing comprehensive solutions that meet business and product needs. This role will collaborate with other Solution Architects to develop solutions that align with established architecture standards and principles, leverage common solutions and services, and support financial objectives.

Location/Travel: Eastern or Central time zone preferred. Travel to Buffalo, NY is required approximately every 4-6 weeks, with Sunday night through Thursday night travel preferred. Solu will prepay flights and hotel, and reimburse candidates for eligible meals, Uber, and other travel expenses.

Responsibilities
  • Actively participate and collaborate on the design, building, testing and deployment of technology solutions and designs with the assigned Agile teams.
  • Collaborate with domain leadership and enterprise architects to understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determine corresponding solution designs.
  • Assist domain decision-making by working with domain subject matter experts to articulate the value and tradeoffs of the solution options.
  • Participate in the creation of enterprise architecture standards and evaluate the quality and compliance of delivered solutions to ensure alignment with those standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on initiatives in Agile team ceremonies.
  • Produce, enhance, and refine conceptual, logical, and physical solution architecture for strategic initiatives that align with Enterprise Architecture principles and vision.
  • Contribute to the research and identification of potential impacts of existing, new, and emerging technologies and trends within a domain.
  • Participate in governance activities as required.
  • Objectively contribute to the evaluation and resolution of domain specific architecture problems in partnership with domain subject matter experts.
  • Assist other enterprise and solution architects to manage and design architecture for dependent products.
  • Harness existing technology resources through collaboration to benefit solutioning efforts.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years higher education and/or relevant work experience.

  • Executive Communication Skills.
  • Experience with multiple programming languages.
  • Ability to work and communicate with various stakeholders at differing levels of the organization.
  • Experience in software or service engineering and delivery.
  • Ability to research and apply modern technology trends related to technology initiatives.
  • Ability to research, evaluate and articulate multiple approaches to solving technical problems.
  • Experience in developing and integrating applications using relevant software architecture principles and patterns.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in technical discipline
  • Experience working in two or more technical roles related to banking technical design.
  • Experience in delivering technology and enterprise level presentations.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Industry recognized certification in programming languages and/or cloud technologies.
  • Experience working in the financial services industry.
