Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Financial Investigations Data Scientist to lead analytics for complex financial crime investigations in Washington, DC, with up to 10% travel. The role requires current Secret clearance, US citizenship, and expertise in Python, SQL, PySpark, ML, NLP, and data visualization.

The candidate will work onsite five days a week, translating findings into memoranda and briefing material for investigators and regulatory stakeholders.

Qualifications

• ACTIVE Secret clearance required and U.S. citizenship.
• Four years of experience developing analytical methods, models, tools, or workflows that deliver actionable insights.
• Experience analyzing financial data and BSA filings, including SARs, CTRs, wire transfers, and related datasets.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, PySpark, ML, NLP, data visualization, and statistics.
• Experience performing entity resolution of businesses and related parties.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical workstreams supporting complex financial crime investigations and enforcement matters.
• Apply advanced data science methods to structured and unstructured data to identify illicit activity and support regulatory decisions.
• Develop analytical products used in investigative findings and regulatory reviews.
