Community Federal Savings Bank seeks a detail-oriented Associate, FCC Quality Assurance Specialist to join its Governance function within Compliance in New York, NY. The role focuses on executing QA testing of financial crime activities and ensuring controls meet regulatory expectations.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3–4 years in Compliance/Audit/Internal Controls, and familiarity with AML and sanctions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Economics, International Relations or related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in Compliance, Audit, or Internal Controls; CAMS/CFE a plus.
• Familiarity with AML, sanctions, and other financial crime regulations.

Responsibilities

• Execute independent QA testing of financial crime activities (transaction monitoring, sanctions/OFAC screening, investigations) per QA methodology.
• Review alerts, cases, and docs for accuracy, completeness, timeliness and policy adherence.
• Document errors with root causes and control weaknesses using the QA taxonomy.
• Maintain clear workpapers and evidence to substantiate QA conclusions for audit/regulatory defensibility.
• Escalate issues to QA leadership per escalation protocols.
• Support QA reporting with metrics, dashboards and KPI/KRI analyses.
• Join calibration sessions and peer reviews to ensure consistency.
• Stay current on regulatory guidance and internal policy changes.
