Job summary

Palm Point Behavioral Health, affiliated with Universal Health Services, seeks a Financial Counselor/Biller to assess patients' ability to pay, secure financing for self-pay liability, and manage deposits and payment arrangements.

Responsibilities include submitting billing statements and following up with payers to resolve claims, in a hospital setting focused on compassionate patient care in Titusville, FL.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in the Billing Department.

Palm Point Behavioral Health treats adults, children and adolescents that suffer from a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses including, depression, anxiety and substance abuse in a modern and well-appointed facility. Palm Point behavioral health offers inpatient treatment options and serve communities in Brevard County and beyond. Titusville, located on Florida’s Space Coast, is approximately 30-miles north of historic Cocoa Beach, and 40-miles east of Orlando’s famous theme parks. In Titusville, you can tour the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore. The Financial counselor/Biller is responsible for completing financial assessments of the patient's ability to pay, collecting deposits, negotiating payment arrangements, securing financing of self-pay liability, and identifying funding sources. Also is responsible for
submitting electronic and manual billings account statements and for follow-up with third-party payers for claims resolution.
