Financial Copywriter / Copyeditor

We are currently seeking candidates for a Financial Copywriter / Copyeditor position with a leading financial services firm in Boston. The Financial Copywriter / Copyeditor will create polished marketing and promotional content while also supporting copyediting and proofreading across a range of financial communications. This role is best suited for an experienced financial writer with strong investment industry knowledge who can turn complex concepts into clear, engaging, audience-friendly messaging.

This is a 3–6+ month contract position with potential to extend, paying $45–$56/hour depending on experience.

The Financial Copywriter / Copyeditor will work a hybrid schedule in Boston, MA. Candidates must be located in the Greater Boston area and willing to work onsite in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:

• Develop concise, persuasive financial marketing content across email, social media, web, digital campaigns, event materials, client communications, and other promotional channels.
• Create both short- and long-form copy designed for investment professionals, clients, and individual investors.
• Copyedit and proofread marketing and financial content for grammar, clarity, consistency, accuracy, and brand alignment.
• Refine investment-focused messaging while preserving the technical meaning of financial and market concepts.
• Partner with marketing, creative, editorial, investment, and design teams to produce polished content across multiple formats.
• Help maintain a consistent editorial voice and quality standard across client-facing communications.
• Manage multiple writing and editing assignments simultaneously while meeting tight production deadlines.
• Ensure deliverables appropriately reflect applicable brand, editorial, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• 5–6+ years of professional financial copywriting and copyediting experience.
• Prior experience within asset management, wealth management, investment management, financial publishing, or investment communications strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience producing marketing, promotional, and sales-oriented financial content.
• Strong portfolio showing both creative copywriting ability and rigorous editing/proofreading skills.
• Exceptional command of grammar, punctuation, syntax, tone, and editorial style.
• Strong understanding of investment terminology and the ability to make complex financial topics accessible to different audiences.
• Ability to manage a high volume of projects and maintain accuracy under deadline pressure.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Adobe Acrobat and project management system experience are a plus.
