Job description
Financial Coordinator

Perform routine to moderately complex and specialized business/accounting operations in support of University financial systems for the Department of Medicine (DOM). Review, analyze, and reconcile accounts; resolve financial transactions and reporting discrepancies and ensure compliance with University and regulatory provisions. Provide support to a variety of funding sources, generate reports, maintain financial records, process and support budget transactions. Provide routine office and special project assistance to support department goals. Report to the Department of Medicine Administrator.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Business, or a related field and one to three years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Attention to detail and effective organizational and communication skills required. Ability to maintain confidential information and comply with regulatory agency requirements. Knowledge of standard office software including spreadsheet applications required.

Desirable Qualifications

Prior experience in internal award management. Experience with PeopleSoft reporting features.

Anticipated Pay Range

$27.50 - $31/hour

Special Conditions

A probationary period may be required, this position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position.
