Job summary

Nova Talent Solutions is seeking a Finance Controller to lead accounting across a multi-property hospitality operation, delivering accurate monthly and annual financial statements and guiding close processes with strong internal controls. You will oversee payroll for 1,000+ associates, mentor accounting staff, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with resort leadership in Pocono Manor, PA.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree, preferably in Accounting.
• 5–10 years of progressive finance or accounting experience in hospitality.
• Experience managing financials for multiple properties.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls.
• Strong skills in financial statement prep, analysis, reconciliation and interpretation.
• Experience leading accounting operations and developing staff.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly and annual financial statements, oversee the general ledger and close processes, reconcile balance-sheet accounts, and provide variance analysis.
• Direct accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, night audit, payroll, and management reporting.
• Maintain GAAP compliance, regulatory requirements, and internal controls; review journal entries and support audits.
• Oversee payroll for more than 1,000 associates, ensuring accuracy, compliance, timely payment, and complete records.
• Manage, train, mentor, and develop finance and accounting professionals.
• Partner with department leaders, resort management, the Director of Finance, and corporate leadership.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, improve recurring accounting procedures, and implement scalable process and system improvements.
• Participate in leadership meetings, resort events, and special projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• A four-year college degree, preferably in Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five to ten years of progressively responsible finance or accounting experience, including hospitality accounting.
• Experience managing financials for multiple properties.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and GAAP.
• Strong financial-statement preparation, analysis, reconciliation, and interpretation skills.
• Experience leading accounting operations and developing finance or accounting professionals.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Hands-on, team-oriented leadership with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with Office 365 and accounting and payroll systems.
• Sound judgment, high ethical standards, and discretion with confidential information.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced resort environment and remain flexible regarding schedules, weekends, and holidays.

PAY
