Job summary
Popular Bank in New York, NY is seeking a Financial Consultant Associate with solid investment sales experience to join our Popular Investments team. This commission-based role requires FINRA Series 6 and 63, plus NY Life and Health Insurance licensing, and emphasizes identifying client needs and recommending suitable investment solutions.
You will evaluate clients, identify objectives, and maintain prospect files while developing portfolios aligned with market changes and customer goals.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED and at least four years of related experience in financial services or retail organization is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred along with relevant years of experiences.
- FINRA Series 6 AND 63, and NY State Life and Health Insurance licensing required.
- Knowledge of financial products and services related to investment activities. Examples include: Securities, Annuities, Life Insurance, Funds Flow Analysis, Investment Operations, and application of rules and regulations.
- Proven ability to successfully identify customer needs and recommend the most appropriate product or service based on those needs.
- Excellent sales ability, presentation, marketing, and negotiation skills.

Our base salary for this position located in New York City generally ranges between $62,400.00 and $64,350.00 annually, depending on business need and on your qualifications and experience. Base salary does not include incentive compensation, commission, or any other type of remuneration or benefits.
In addition to salary, Popular's well-rounded benefits package for regular full-time and part-time employees includes a comprehensive health plan, flexible time off options, and savings and investment plans. Seasonal/temporary employees are not eligible for these benefits.
