DataAnnotation is a platform connecting 100k+ experts to train the world’s leading AI models. We’re hiring a Finance Expert to evaluate AI-built financial analyses, check valuation assumptions, and ensure defensible accounting work.

You’ll stress-test AI-driven three-statement models on real corporate scenarios, trace the logic, and write clear judgments you’d present to a CFO. This is flexible, remote, project-based work with compensation up to $40–$125+/hr depending on task difficulty.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or strategic finance.
• Fluency in modeling: three-statement builds, DCF, and the accounting behind them.
• Clear written English: explanations as the training signal.

Job description

Models can build a three-statement model that looks clean and still get the mechanics wrong: a balance sheet that doesn't balance, working capital that flows the wrong way, a circular reference silently zeroed out. Someone has to trace the numbers back through the logic, and that someone is you.

As a Finance Expert you'll evaluate AI-built financial analyses on real corporate scenarios, check the valuation assumptions and the accounting behind them, and write the judgments that teach models what defensible finance work looks like.

What you’ll actually do

• Stress-test AI-built models on real corporate scenarios: three-statement linkages, DCF assumptions, and the working-capital logic underneath.
• Trace the reasoning to expose plugged numbers, broken drivers, and conclusions the model's own math doesn't support.
• Write the defensible analysis when the model falls short: honest assumptions, clear drivers, and a number you'd put in front of a CFO.
