TIAA is seeking a Financial Consultant to provide in-person and virtual financial counseling to clients. You'll assist clients with TIAA products, help them achieve their financial goals, and undergo training on all necessary products. The role starts non-exempt with hourly pay, transitioning to salaried after training.
This hybrid position requires travel to client locations in Connecticut and Rhode Island, with the flexibility to work remotely. A university degree and financial services experience are preferred, along with certifications in Series 7 and 63 within a specified period.
The Financial Consultant provides in person and virtual counseling for all participants, new entrants, prospects, beneficiaries and their legal and financial representatives on the complete spectrum of TIAA products and services. This job covers institutions aligned to regional structures and offers financial planning advice via in person, phone and video chat to help clients accomplish their immediate and long‑term financial goals. During your initial period of employment, you will receive training on TIAA's products and the role will be non‑exempt – meaning you will be paid on an hourly basis and eligible for overtime pay. After the training period has concluded, the role will become exempt and you will be paid on a salaried basis at an equivalent rate and will no longer be eligible for overtime pay. All licenses must be obtained within 120 days of the start date.

This is a hybrid flex position involving regional travel to client institutions at least 3 days per week, with the ability to work remotely the rest of the week. The role may also require occasional travel up to 25% of the time outside the assigned territory and will require travel within Connecticut and Rhode Island.
