Job summary

Edelman Smithfield is seeking high-potential graduates for its Analyst Program in financial communications. This 15-month full-time program develops media relations, research and writing skills while learning financial services, deal work, investor relations and digital communications.

Analysts will work with global clients, gain exposure to earnings releases, investor days, and governance communications, and may be promoted to an Account Executive after completion.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drafting and editing materials such as press releases, investor presentations, Q&As, and other documents.
• Conducting in-depth research and benchmarking of financial metrics, disclosures, and analyst commentary.
• Engaging with media outlets to manage reporter contacts, inquiries and interviews.
• Monitoring client-related news and filings and alerting teams to breaking events.
• Demonstrating understanding of clients’ businesses and key stakeholders; sharing knowledge with the team.
• Developing compelling writing and narrative development for client communications.
• Collaborating with the client lead and providing daily client support.
• Participating in new business processes including research, proposals and pitches.
