Job summary

Meijer is seeking a friendly Cashier to deliver quality customer experiences at the checkout. You will learn Meijer programs, assist customers, and complete transactions with accuracy, using Meijer systems. You’ll stay engaged with customers, promote a welcoming atmosphere, and support store operations as needed.

Ideal candidates enjoy working with people, are comfortable with technology, and can lift and stand for extended periods. Prior retail experience helps but is not required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Enjoy working with people and providing great service.
• Comfortable learning and using technology.
• Demonstrate dependable, detail-oriented behavior.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.
