Job summary

Motion PT, a member of the Confluent Health family, is seeking a full-time Financial Clearance Supervisor. This role leads the Financial Clearance Team, ensuring pre-service clearance and smooth patient flow, aiming to minimize denials while delivering excellent patient service.

The position reports to the Manager of Financial Clearance and requires 5–7 years in financial clearance within healthcare, with strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 5-7 years of financial clearance experience in a medical practice or health care setting.
• Understanding of managed care contract types and concepts, specialty insurance and billing practices.
• Strong business communication skills including communicating with patients and regional leadership.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and other government programs and regulations.
• Ability to align processes with the organization’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Financial Clearance Manager to develop goals and strategies for the Financial Clearance Team.
• Perform quality reviews of patient accounts for accuracy according to policies and procedures.
• Provide timely feedback to the Financial Clearance Manager.
• Monitor adherence to policies; update manuals and inform staff of changes.
• Develop and implement operating procedures; train new staff and provide coaching.

Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of Financial Clearance, the Financial Clearance Supervisor will beresponsible for managing and developing the Financial Clearance Team Leads and staff. TheFinancial Clearance Supervisor ensures that financial clearance is obtained prior to servicesbeing rendered, patient experience protocols are followed, and clearance is obtained in a
timely manner to reduce related denials.

Job Type:Full-Time(Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M - 5:00 P.M)

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Financial Clearance Manager to develop goals and strategies for theFinancial Clearance Team.
• Performs quality reviews of patient accounts for accuracy in accordance with the policies andprocedures for the Financial Clearance workflow.
• Provide timely performance feedback to the Financial Clearance Manager.
• Monitor adherence to policies and established procedures. Propose methods which assureeffective execution of program responsibilities.Update policy and procedure manuals asrequired. Apprise staff of changes.
• Makes sound decisions and works closely with staff when developing and implementingoperating procedures as they relate to the area.
• Provide training for new employees and re-training/coaching as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 5-7 years of financial clearance experience in a medical practice or health care setting required.Understanding of managed care contract types and concepts, specialty insurance and billingpractices, and the ability to exercise professional competency in reviewing patient accounts tomaximize reimbursement and minimize financial risk.
• Demonstrated business communication skills including communicating well with patients andregional leadership. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage and prioritizemultiple projects.
• Strong computer skills relevant to the position required. Significant experience using Excel,Power Point and Word required.
• Self-starter who excels in a fast paced, data driven environment and shifting work environment.Knowledge of and ability to articulate explanations of Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and othergovernment assistance programs and regulations.
• Ability to effectively incorporate the mission and core values into processes.
• Ability to maintain and convey a positive attitude and customer service approach to programdevelopment.
