Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC. is seeking a Financial Cash Disbursements (FCD) Analyst to oversee daily FCD operations and implement process improvements in pre- and post-payment activities. You will handle wires, reconciliations, audits, and data-driven improvements while collaborating across departments.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• 3+ years in payment processing or accounts payable preferred.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation and reasoning skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Access).

Responsibilities

• Handle the wire process from start to finish, including invoices review and account setups.
• Perform regular reconciliations of AP transactions for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze system data and respond to inquiries, guiding root-cause resolution.
• Assist internal and external audits with required documentation.
• Collaborate with Accounting to resolve items on monthly GL reports.

This includes administrative functions such as prepayments, ach recalls, stop payments, unclaimed property, negative vendor management, wire preparation, and creating various reports for consumption by management to help streamline work processes.Location:This role is open to remote work across the United States or out of Newport News, VA, according to company policy. East coast working hours.Responsibilities:Handle the foreign and domestic wire process from start to finish to include review of invoices, Bills of Lading, account setups, manual checks, and authorizations.Assist in working through negative vendor balances and take the appropriate actions to mitigate them through credit sells or acquiring refunds.Work with a variety of software programs and have a strong attention to detailsPerform regular reconciliations of accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and completenessNavigate, research, and analyze system data and knowledge documents to respond to inquiries accurately and advise on root causes to resolve the issue.Work with Accounting groups to resolve outstanding items on the monthly GL reports.Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reportsExhibit understanding of three-way match processes, vendor discounts, and payment terms.Work autonomously in completing all assigned tasks and ensuring other admin processes are being performed.Identify and resolve issues related to vendor invoices, payment discrepancies, and other accounts payable mattersDevelop and implement strategies to streamline disbursements processes and enhance efficiencyGenerate and communicate presentations to large groupsEnsure awareness of cross-functional policies and proceduresObtain and analyze quantitative and qualitative data of business processes to determine solutions and promote data driven decisionsCollaborate and communicate with internal and external business partners on findings and areas needing improvementAnalyze processes and workflows to understand value chain, input/output, and to improve and/or automate business performanceMonitor key performance indicators, determine gaps, and recommend/implement change management techniques for efficiency and operational improvementsPrepare departmental reports or chartsPerform other duties or special projects as assigned that are specific to the essential operations of Financial Cash DisbursementsQualifications:College degree preferredMinimum of 3 years’ experience within the payment processing space or the equivalent and exposure to other functions of the AP process preferredEffective analytical, reconciliation and reasoning skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, trends, results or relationshipsIdentifies source of the challenge and exercises initiative while using good judgement to both make decisions and provide solutionAbility to handle and analyze large amounts of data accurately while maintaining timelines/deadlines/resources adjusting with job objectivesStrong use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Access, etc.)Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAt Ferguson, we care for each other. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.-$2,475.00 - $4,125.00-Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.-This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.-Ferguson complies with all wage regulations.
