LMI is seeking a skilled Financial Budget Analyst at our client facility in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the government with budget formulation for out years.
  • Assist the government with developing a financial tracking system for expenditures.
  • Analyze past and current funding requirements for trends and tracking of funds expenditures.
  • Support the development of funding requirement projections for out years based on analysis of trends.
  • Review and analyze business processes for efficiency and suggest ways to decrease wastage.
  • Draft reports and PowerPoint presentations for the government, including leadership.
  • Create data visualization of financial and budget information for use in presentations for leadership.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration or other Finance related field.
  • Eleven (11) years’ experience supporting finance and budget offices
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and/or consulting on budget formulation and financial operations for multi-million-dollar office.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel (Advanced), and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of remote/virtual meeting environments such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx.
  • Advanced analysis skills using Excel or a similar analytic tool, including the ability to perform conditional summations, data indexing and matching, data error identification and cleaning, conditional formatting, table referencing and lookups, data filtering, data visualization, and use of pivot tables.
  • Strong organizational skills (e.g., time management, communication, setting goals, delegation, working under pressure, self-motivation, analytical thinking, and attention to detail).
  • Proficiency in written and oral communications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as good organization skills to balance and prioritize work.
  • Knowledge of federal budget cycles and congressional budget justifications.
  • Demonstrated data visualization skills.
  • Master’s in Business or Public Administration or other Finance related field.
  • Experience supporting business operations.
