Responsibilities

• Perform monthly/quarterly variance reporting comparing budget vs. actual and prior year results to improve future forecasts.
• Support SEC reporting and assist with financial reporting processes; aid operating companies in understanding financial results.
• Track and evaluate forecasts for operating company, segment, and consolidated results; develop compelling earnings narratives for senior management and the board.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and revenue enhancement; develop strategic evaluations of corporate opportunities.

Additional duties include analyzing and making recommendations on regulatory and general business strategy.Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do:Initiate and formulate financial forecasts, in conjunction with operating company personnel, using corporate financial models including the identification of significant strategic issues and alternative and/or contingency plans.Perform monthly/quarterly variance reporting and analysis of budget vs. actual results and actual vs. prior year results for the primary purpose of improving future forecasts. This analysis will also aid operating companies in understanding their financial results and assist Financial Reporting in SEC reporting.Identify needed customer rate changes and make recommendations for the timing and amount.Track and evaluate operating company, segment, and consolidated forecasts including the compilation of intra-year estimates.
