Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the Navy sector. The role contributes to strategic direction and mission outcomes, based in Falls Church, VA with a hybrid work arrangement.

The position requires 5+ years of experience, strong financial modeling, BI/reporting skills, and familiarity with Hyperion Planning and Oracle tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead/Manage/Support annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, quarterly reporting deliverables, month-end close, and ad hoc analyses/special projects.
• Collaborate with Sector Finance Director, team of Finance Managers, FP&A, and operation leads.
• Drive innovation and accuracy of budgeting and reporting processes/reports.
• Utilize Excel, Oracle Financials, Oracle Analytics, Hyperion Planning, and developing AI tools.

FINANCIAL ANALYST SENIOR

As a Financial Analyst Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our Navy customer. You will play a crucial role in the financial performance of our Navy Sector.

• Lead/Manage/Support annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, quarterly reporting deliverables, month-end close process, and myriad ad hoc analyses/special projects.
• Collaborate with Sector Finance Director, team of Business Area Finance Managers, Finance Analysts, division FP&A team, and business area operation leads.
• Drive innovation, speed, accuracy, and usefulness of budgeting and reporting processes/reports.
• Utilize Excel, Oracle Financials, Oracle Analytics, Hyperion Planning, and developing AI tools.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
• Experience: 5+ years of related experience
• Technical skills: Financial modeling/planning, business intelligence & reporting, data management/analysis, presentation & storytelling/communication of data/financials
• Hyperion is strongly preferred
• FP&A background preferred
• US Person
• Location: Hybrid--must be able to go into the Falls Church, VA office 3+ days a week
