Job summary

The City of Bothell is seeking a finance-focused professional to support financial strategy and policy development by compiling, reviewing, and analyzing city data and reports. You will monitor updates, evaluate information, and prepare forecasts to support informed decisions.

Responsibilities include operating and capital budget analysis, CAFR support, and providing guidance on city policies and procedures across departments.

  • Assess operational changes and trends, estimate fiscal impacts, and develop supporting analysis and narrative for program plans and funding requests.
  • Provide consultation to City staff on financial, budgeting, accounting, and technical matters by researching issues, identifying solutions, and offering guidance on procedures and account-related questions.
  • Assist in preparing financial analyses and reports, including the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), and help interpret and communicate City policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

What will you do in this position?
