Job Summary

The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

Essential Functions

• Analysis of unbilled items for license and sales tax prepaid items over customer contract amount.
• Accounts Payable processing for licensing, lawyer fees, broker fees, toll vendor refunds, etc.
• Reconciliation and review of all license prepaid fees, including license, title, sales, and personal property tax, with setup of amortization schedules.
• Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures, and tools.
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accurate financial projections.
• Act as liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
• Make accounting decisions on projects and system enhancements, maintaining controls and assisting with audits.
• Support upper management with special projects, process improvements, and analytics.
• Handle month-end closing activities, including journal entries, variance explanations, and ledger research.
• Identify revenue, cost, and productivity improvement opportunities in operational initiatives.
• Conduct financial analysis and reporting on regional and branch performance, cost analysis, and reconciliation of accounts.
