Job Summary

The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

Essential Functions

• Analyze unbilled items for license and sales tax prepaid items over customer contract amounts.
• Process Accounts Payable for licensing needs, including lawyer fees, broker fees, toll vendor refunds, etc.
• Reconcile, review, and interpret business functions of prepaid license fees, including license, title, sales, and personal property taxes. Set up amortization schedules and liaise with Financial Reporting & HQ Finance for accuracy.
• Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures, and tools.
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accurate financial projections.
• Act as liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
• Make accounting decisions on projects and system enhancements; maintain Sarbanes-Oxley controls and assist in quarterly audits.
• Support upper management with special projects related to vehicle accounting, rebates, and regulatory compliance. Lead process improvements for efficiency and automation.
• Participate in Month-End Closing activities, including journal entries, variance explanations, and general ledger research.
• Identify opportunities for revenue, cost, and productivity improvements in collaboration with Licensing Compliance and License teams.
• Conduct financial analysis and reporting on region and branch performance, cost analysis, and continuous improvement metrics.

• Follow up with tracking, reporting, and recommendations.
