Summary

Job Description: The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

Essential Functions
  1. Analyze unbilled items for license and sales tax prepaid items over customer contract amount.
  2. Process Accounts Payable for licensing needs, including lawyer fees, broker fees, toll vendor refunds, etc.
  3. Reconcile, review, and interpret business functions of all licenses prepaid fees, including license, title, sales, and personal property tax. Set up amortization schedules and analyze prepaid fees to ensure accuracy, liaising with Financial Reporting & HQ Finance.
  4. Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures, and tools.
  5. Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accurate financial projections.
  6. Act as Licensing Team liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
  7. Make accounting decisions on projects, system enhancements, and analytics. Maintain Sarbanes-Oxley controls and assist with quarterly audits.
  8. Assist management with special projects related to vehicle accounting, rebates, and regulatory compliance. Lead process improvements for efficiency and automation.
  9. Handle Month-End Closing activities, including journal entries, variance explanations, and ledger research.
  10. Collaborate with Licensing Compliance and License team to identify revenue, cost, and productivity improvement opportunities.
  11. Perform financial analysis and reporting on regional and branch performance, cost analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation.

  • Follow up with tracking, reporting, and recommendations.
