Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr Analyst, Program Cost Controls (P2) to support MRIC programs with financial analysis, forecasting, and EVM. The role will partner with Program Management, Scheduling, Contracts, and CAMs, providing accurate financial reporting and budgeting in a hybrid onsite/remote capacity near Tucson, AZ, with eligibility across several US locations.

The ideal candidate will have a finance/Accounting background, 2+ years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with financial analysis and/or reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to prepare written and verbal financial communications.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access the financial management system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost, scheduling, and financial reporting activities including funding analysis and forecasting.
• Maintain program management baseline with BCRs, LRE updates, and PMB reconciliation.
• Provide weekly/monthly cost and performance monitoring and EAC development.
• Create ad-hoc analyses for accurate reporting and early issue warning.
• Collaborate with Program Management, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
• Support IOT Joint Venture financial and EVM data reporting and forecasting.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Sr Analyst, Program Cost Controls (P2) to support the financial and operational performance of Medium-Range Intercept Capability (MRIC) programs. This position will be partnered with Program Management, Scheduling, Contracts, and Control Account Managers (CAMs) to provide accurate financial analysis, forecasting, and Earned Value Management (EVM) support. The successful candidate will be responsible for support program and functional organizations with financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and presentation of financial information. The position will also support financial planning activities and concurrent financial projects. This role is being offered in a hybrid capacity (onsite & remote) with the preferred candidate located within a commutable distance to Tucson, AZ. Other allowable locations are: Andover, MA; Huntsville, AL; McKinney, TX or Orlando, FL. Relocation assistance is not being provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost, schedule, and financial reporting activities, including funding analysis, tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
• Maintain program management baseline, to include incorporating BCRs, LRE updates, and month-end PMB reconciliation.
• Provide weekly and monthly cost and performance monitoring and reports of monthly Earned Value reporting, development of EAC's.
• Prepare various ad-hoc analyses to ensure accurate reporting and early warning of issues.
• Partnering with various functional disciplines (Program management, Engineering, and Supply Chain).
• Support IOT Joint Venture financial and EVM data, ensuring accurate, timely and consistent EAC, forecast, budget, earned value and performance reporting.
• Promote consistency, process discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement across the Program Control organization.

Qualifications: You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field & a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Experience with financial analysis and/or reporting
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint
• Experience in preparing written and/or verbal financial communications
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Qualifications: We Prefer

• Experience supporting complex government or defense programs and working across multiple functions and organizations
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
• Ability to working independently and in a team environment building effective working relationships with program leaderships, cross-functional teams, and Joint Venture partners
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
• Experience using SAP Apex, Prism, EV, PMX and Rplan

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
