Job summary

ZEISS in Missouri is seeking a Financial Analyst to shape the performance of our site by delivering insightful reporting, forecasts, and cost analyses. You will partner with upper management and external partners to drive smarter, data‑driven decisions.

The role emphasizes budgeting, KPI dashboards, inventory optimization, and automation using analytics tools and MS Office. A finance degree and 2+ years FP&A experience in manufacturing or healthcare help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in modeling, forecasting and budgeting.
• Clear communication of complex data into actionable messages and recommendations.
• Knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP; experience with tax filings or fixed assets is beneficial.
• Experience with SAP and MS Office in a finance/FP&A context.
• Affinity for business and production processes and shop-floor realities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Financial Reporting & Business Partnering: prepare and present monthly statements, forecasts and reports to Upper Management.
• Conduct cost and variance analyses with actionable recommendations.
• Ensure financial accuracy through journal entries, reconciliations, and ZEISS standards.
• Drive automation to simplify reporting with central Finance and local partners.
• Partner with business colleagues to implement cost-avoidance and productivity measures.
• Drive Budgeting & Performance Management: coordinate annual budgeting across departments and support KPI dashboards.
• Leverage analytics tools to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Implement automation and AI to simplify finance processes
• Optimize Inventory & Strengthen Operational Excellence: monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Supply Chain.

• Implement automation and AI to simplify finance processes

Optimize Inventory & Strengthen Operational Excellence

• Monitor inventory levels, turnover, and stock efficiency.


• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations to improve inventory utilization.


• Share insights and global best practices across our manufacturing network.


• Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend data‑driven improvements.

Do you qualify?

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA/CPA/CFA is a plus.


• 2 years of finance experience (preferably FP&A) within healthcare, diagnostics, or manufacturing.


• Affinity for business and production processes and shop‑floor realities.


• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and MS Office; SAP is a plus.


• Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills - including translating complex data into clear messages and recommendations.


• Knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP; experience with tax filings or fixed assets is beneficial.


• A proactive, curious mindset with a drive to simplify processes and support operational improvement.
