Job summary

Aqua America, Inc. in Bryn Mawr, PA is seeking a contract/temporary Financial Analyst II to join our Finance team.

The role supports development and integration of the total Company business planning process, attraction of capital and integration into the regulatory rate filing process. Responsibilities include preparing rate case filings, DSIC filings and tariffs on a multi-state basis, with a hybrid work schedule after a 90-day training period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience required.
• Utilities experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of rate cases providing general accounting assistance, analysis and forecasting of the need for and the timing of rate increases.
• Participate in the planning/budgeting processes to ensure timely recognition of investments.
• Compile and aggregate budget and business planning information.
• Provide support for the preparation of financial due diligence, including pro-forma income statements, for water and wastewater acquisitions in various jurisdictions.
• Handles PUC filings and data request/other correspondence with applicable utility commission.
• Prepare answers to interrogatories.
• Provide support for witness litigation process.
• Interface with other departments to determine future rate case adjustments.
• Prepare special reports as needed.
• Prepare relevant documents requested by or required by the Commission.
• All other duties as assigned.
