Job summary

H.E.B. is seeking a Financial Analyst II to perform research work and prepare financial analysis to support corporate and operational planning decisions.

You will perform various financial functions, including P&L reporting, budgeting, product costing, cost/benefit analyses, expense reconciliation, and forecasting, while mentoring teammates and working with senior management.

Qualifications

  • Requires a related degree and work experience; manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or retail operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

As a Financial Analyst II, you will perform research work and prepare financial analysis necessary to make essential Corporate and Operational planning decisions.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Financial Functions
  • Responsible for various financial functions such asperiod operational P&L reporting,budgeting,productcosting, Cost/Benefit Analyses, Expense Reconciliation,resultsforecasting,variousotheranalytical tasks/reports
Analytics
  • Uses advanced analysis skills and multiple category knowledge to perform functions of a Financial Analyst as well as the following duties
  • Reviews complex financial data and maintains documented records supporting financial forecasts used in the rate and budget area
  • Ensures management's understanding of actual vs standard(target) rates
  • Discovers and drives new ways of using information to impact business decisions and results
  • Provides complex analysis and recommendations to senior management on new business opportunities and existing business
Training / Mentoring
  • Trains, mentors, and transfers knowledge to fellow team members
  • May provide work leadership for lower level employees

  • 6 - 8 years of experience in related field

Education
  • A related degree and Work experience. Prior experinece supporting Manufacturing is a plus
