Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA, seeks a Financial Analyst II to own program and IRAD financial management, along with P&L forecasting across a portfolio of contracts and internally funded efforts. Responsibilities

This role partners with program management, operations, and business line leadership to translate business activity into revenue, COGS, and margin on the P&L.

ABOUT THE JOB

This role is at the Financial Analyst II level. Supporting the Electromagnetic Warfare business line, you will own program/project financial management and IRAD financial management, along with P&L forecasting, across a portfolio of contracts and internally funded development efforts. Partnering closely with program management and business line leadership, you will explain financial performance and variance analysis to cross-functional teams and senior leadership. You will participate in month-end close activities and work closely with accounting and other functional teams across the organization. We are looking for someone with curiosity and drive to take on additional scope as they grow into and beyond the responsibilities outlined below.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own rolling monthly forecasts, working closely with key engineering stakeholders (Product, Program, and Engineering Leads).
• Work with PMs to develop and maintain EAC forecasts and ETC integrity.
• Analyze and monitor contract profit margins.
• Support P&L forecasting by contract and business line.
• Own IRAD financial management, including budget tracking and reporting on internally funded development programs.
• Deliver monthly internal management reporting through presentations and written communications.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis.
• Support month-end close activities in partnership with accounting and other functional teams.
• Build reports and automated dashboards in FP&A and BI tools.
• Support pricing and proposal activities.
• Assist in long range planning.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting tools, systems, and procedures.
• Ad hoc support and special projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-5 years of experience as a financial analyst or in a related finance/accounting role.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Working knowledge of BAC, EAC, and ETC management.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to apply for and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• DoD, manufacturing, and/or tech industry experience.
• Familiarity with Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, and Salesforce CRM.

US Salary Range

$77,000 - $102,000 USD
