University of Louisville is seeking a Financial Analyst I to support daily finance and business operations for the Athletic Department at the Belknap Campus. The Financial Analyst I assists in the daily finance and business operations of the Athletic Department. This individual will oversee several operational functions, including ownership of several periodic reconciliation processes, providing financial analysis, and assisting in expense processing. This position will play a vital role within the department, having exposure & involvement with the budget, monthly projections, and daily operations. This position will report to the Manager, Unit Finance Administration (Director of Business Operations).
Review and assist with purchase requisitions, travel expense vouchers, and procurement card charges for assigned sports and supporting units to ensure compliance with University, Conference, and NCAA policies/procedures.
Involvement with projections of monthly financial reports comparing actuals to budget. Attend monthly meetings with coaches and department heads to ensure expenses align with budget.
Assist with annual budget preparation. Ensure all budgets are coded correctly and monitor revisions throughout the fiscal year.
Other duties as assigned.
One (1) year of related work experience.
Experience at a University or Athletic Department is preferred.
Strong working knowledge of accounting principles.
Ability to make timely and critical decisions.
Work effectively in both group and individual settings.
Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Workday, Peoplesoft, Archtics, Jonas, or comparable financial software.
