Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst for a contingent role in Basking Ridge, NJ. This largely remote assignment requires onsite training at least 1 day per week initially, with onsite as needed thereafter.

Qualifications

• BS in Finance or accounting completed.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Operational budget experience, pharma preferred.
• 2+ years with SAP S/4HANA and 1 year with SAC required.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and v-lookups.

Financial Analyst

Medical Job Schedule : This assignment is mainly remote, using MS Teams and Outlook for communication. Candidates must be local and able to work onsite at least 1 day a week for initial training/ramp-up period. Once candidate is trained; then they would need to be able to come into the office as needed.

This role is primarily responsible for supporting strategic planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, internal reporting, ad hoc reporting and analysis, and change management initiatives for Global Digital Transformation (IT ). The individual will be involved in budgeting and reconciliation of administrative spend for cost centers, budgeting and reconciliation of spend (A&P). sustain of the Financial Planning & Analysis data capabilities of Global Digital Transformation (IT).
Provide support to finance business partners in Global Corporate Planning staff by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance monitoring. Understand and track performance indicators, assist in preparing reports, identifying trends, and ensuring data accuracy. This role requires strong analytical skills,
Candidate should possess understanding of the causes of variances and provide management with impacts to expenses trends that are not accounted for in forecasting/latest estimates models. Planning and Forecasting – Facilitate the understanding of operational and financial requirements of department of the company, development of templates and coordination of the process for the Company’s Annual Strategic and Operating Plans, and support to budget managers through the capital planning process, as well as contribution in completion of the final reporting package to the parent company in Japan. Support journal entries and account reconciliations for relevant SG&A expense accounts.
Track and analyze accruals / expenses. Ensure adequate support for all related entries. Support audit requirements as needed by Corporate Accounting Director. Management Reporting – Responsible for the development, preparation, and distribution of adhoc reports and other analytics in cooperation with the Director, Global DX Financial Mgt & Shared Services.

Skills

• Analytical capabilities, prior forecasting/Financial budgeting experience required.
• Must have operational budget experience. Experience with pharmaceuticals preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience with S4/Hana and 1 year of experience of SAC experience (SAP Analytical Cloud) are required as this will be used to research actuals and periodic journal entries / accruals.
• Strong communication skills, conscientious self-starter with good organizational skills, project management skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners at all organizational levels, including the C-suite.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel (pivot tables and v-look-up), PowerPoint, and approved AI tools, etc.

Education
Minimum BS in Finance or accounting

Location: Basking Ridge, NJ (Hybrid or Remote -USA - ET zone)
Shift: 37.5 hours/wk
Pay rate: $22 - $30.22/hour (W2 only - based on experience and education)
Contract: 12 month
