Job summary

Ledgent in Houston is seeking an FP&A Analyst/Financial Analyst to provide analytical and financial support to senior leadership. You will assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modelling, and enterprise reporting while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable recommendations.

This 100% in-office role is local to NE/Central Houston with <10% travel and offers a bonus and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in financial, business, or data analysis.
• Intermediate Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables); beginner PowerPoint.
• Understanding of P&L statements.

Responsibilities

• Support senior leadership with financial analysis, operational performance improvement, and strategic projects.
• Conduct variance analysis by comparing forecasts, budgets, and actual results.
• Assist in the annual budget process and performance tracking of company-wide initiatives.
• Prepare management reporting and presentations for leadership, Board of Directors, and external lenders.
• Collect, validate, and manipulate data for reporting and analysis.
• Maintain financial and business models and develop automated tools to enhance analytical insights.
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed.

Our client, a large oilfield services company in NE/Central Houston, has an amazing opportunity for a FP&A Analyst/Financial Analyst.

The role will be providing analytical and financial support to senior leadership. In this role, you'll deliver insights that improve operational performance, support strategic decision-making, and enhance reporting accuracy. You will assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modelling, and enterprise reporting while partnering with cross‑functional teams to provide actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior leadership with financial analysis, operational performance improvement, and strategic projects

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science
• Experience with data analytics tools: Power Query, PowerPivot, Power BI, Tableau

Salary range is $75-80K plus bonus. Amazing company benefits and 9/80 work schedule (off every other Friday!)
