Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Financial Analyst to perform budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis within our healthcare-focused finance team. You will work on long-range financial plans and contribute to corporate KPI insights.

You will collaborate with managers to prepare budgets, support financing requests, and mentor junior analysts while leveraging Tableau, Epic, and advanced Excel to deliver clarity and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics or equivalent training.
• 2–4 years of work experience in financial analysis.
• High level of discretion and strong analytical skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Preference for Tableau and Epic experience; advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).

Responsibilities

• Conduct moderate to complex financial analysis, including budgeting and long-range forecasts.
• Prepare basic financial analyses for various projects.
• Assist with documentation for long-term financing requests.
• Support development of the annual budget.
• Develop profitability analyses for clinical service lines and payor classes.
• Meet with managers to guide budget preparation and analysis.
• Develop trend analysis reports monitoring KPIs.

Job description

• Conduct moderate to complex financial analysis projects including budgeting and long-range financial forecasts
• Prepare basic financial analyses for various projects
• Participate in the preparation and submission of documentation for long term financing requests
• Assist with the development of the annual budget
• Develop profitability analysis for clinical service lines and payor classes
• Meet with and provide guidance to managers on budget preparation or analysis projects
• Develop trend analysis reports that monitor hospital or corporate key performance indicators
• Train and provide guidance to new Financial Analysts

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; or equivalent training
• Two (2) to four (4) years work experience
• High level of discretion and strong analytical skills required
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Preference for candidates with Tableau and Epic experience
• Intermediate or advanced Excel skills (able to do Pivot Tables, V Lookup, etc.)
